The Deacons Handbook - A Manual of Stewardship

Gerard Berghoef, a longtime elder, and Lester DeKoster, editor of The Banner and director of the Calvin College library, wrote this manual as a companion to their Elders Handbook.

It grounds the office in Scripture and church history, then turns to the working questions deacons face: benevolence, stewardship, and the administration of mercy. Many churches use it as a first book for new deacons.
